The three services available in Walsall are MECS  (also known as PEARS in Wolverhampton), which offers rapid assessment of people with:

  • recent onset eye problems;
  • cataract referral and
  • post-operative assessment;  
  • IOPRM which enables improved assessment of eye pressure in an eye examination.
