Appointment Times & Late Arrivals
If you have booked an appointment to see a clinician at the surgery, please ensure that you arrive on or before your appointed time.
If you arrive late for your appointment, this could potentially have a knock-on effect on other patient’s appointments booked for that day.
As well as the increasing demand for appointments, we are also seeing more patients with very complex needs. Clinicians often struggle to address all of these needs within the allocated time-frame, as they have strict timescales to adhere to, especially when carrying out nursing procedures.
If patients are kept waiting to be seen when they have promptly arrived for their appointed time, understandably they may become upset and frustrated.
We understand that sometimes delays happen that are no-one’s fault, and our clinicians do have some discretion to see the patient, in exceptional circumstances, if time allows.
However, if the clinician is not able to see you, you will be asked to rebook your appointment for another day.
We thank you in advance for your co-operation.
Consultations at the surgery are by appointment only and may be made in advance. Appointments may be made by telephoning 01922 477226, booking online appointments or by attending the surgery.
Patients may see the doctor of their choice by appointment, though there may be a delay if you wish to see a specific doctor.
Patients requesting a same-day appointment for a problem that is considered urgent will be offered an appointment with the first available doctor.
We have an appointment text reminder service, please be sure to check with reception that we have an updated mobile number, thank you.
On days where the demand for same-day appointments is high a considerable wait may be unavoidable.
